Ladies, how often do you get down and dirty with your other half? We only ask because according to a new survey, the majority of us are doing the horizontal tango only twice a week if we’re in a relationship. Yes, really.
According to researchers, our busy modern lives leave us too wrecked and without enough time to indulge in regular steamy sessions.
Apparently those of us who do have sex on a regular basis are most likely to do it on Friday and Saturday nights, while 1 in 10 of us enjoy a romp first thing in the morning.
Three quarters of the population admitted that when it comes to bumping uglies, they stick to the tried and tested missionary position and the average length of foreplay is a very quick ten minutes.
So far so boring right? But the good news is we are becoming far more risqué when it comes to picking a location for our Saturday night romps. The sofa, kitchen table, shower and stairs all ranked highly when it came to picking a spot to get durty.

Our busy schedules are getting in the way of a regular sex life.
“We all lead very busy lives so it’s understandable that sex lives can suffer. After a long day in the office followed by a stressful commute you can understand how sex may be the last thing on peoples’ minds – but reading erotic books seems to have jumpstarted the sex lives of some couples and helped to get the reader in the mood,” said Sylvia Day, the author of raunchy read Bared to You.
“Twice a week seems to be the average number of times a couple gets to have some bedroom action, but there are couples that have sex a lot more than this. Every couple is different though and what works for one may not suit another,” she added.
And what’s the most popular excuse for brushing off the advances of himself? “I’m too tired” came out on top with “I’m not in the mood” a close second.
We all know that having some, ahem, intimate time with your partner is a great way to keep your relationship fresh and healthy, but have you ever used an excuse to get out of sexy times with your other half?
