Have you ever looked at a famous work of art and noticed that it was missing a splash of red?
Photographer Ed Wheeler has for the past 20 years been taking self-portraits of himself dressed as Santa in various everyday situations but knew that there was potential for more.
In a series known as Santa Classics, the photographer has humorously inserted himself into well-known paintings, giving them a more Christmassy feel!
“Ed realized that Santa was destined for more illustrious situations” reads the description of the collection.
“Since then he has been cataloging over 200 paintings that call for the elf's intervention. He has produced 40 finished pieces, and plans to continue making more.”
