Mothers are brilliant. The woman who brought you into the world deserves nothing but respect and love, but we all know the best mammies are the ones who can laugh at themselves.
Leeds mum Gemma Colley is one such parent.
Gemma opted for a little me-time this week, heading to the salon for a spray tan to make herself feel good. No harm in that, naturally… until she went to breastfeed her son a few hours later.
Colley shared a picture of the result on the Facebook page of popular blog The Unmumsy Mum, saying: “From one mum to another, I’d like to let you know about my epic fail of fails. Yesterday I had a spray tan, a few hours later I breastfed my little boy. Cue 5 o’clock shadow and a very guilty mummy ? Lesson to you all. Don’t do this”
The post has since attracted over 140,000 “likes” and has been shared more than 35,000 times.
Gemma later added a second picture, showing that by the same evening the tan had mostly worn off.
