The 2014 Winter Olympics got underway earlier in Sochi, Russia, and so we thought we'd bring you some pictures from the spectacular Opening Ceremony..
Teams from all over got together for the fairly colourful affair. The Irish team was there kitted out in the trademark khaki-green (sure what other colour would they be in).
Many suggested that the German’s multi-coloured choice of clothing was in protest to Russia’s anti-gay laws, but the German team denied the rumours.
With one or two small hiccups (one of the iconic Olympic rings failed to light), there is no denying that the Russians put on a fantastic show.
