Indian Girl Shares Fantastically Honest ‘Marriage CV’

Indhuja Pillai uploaded a "marriage CV' to her website in response to a dating profile her parents had created to find her a husband. The 23-year-old felt that the ad did not describe her accurately and so she decided to create her own. She set up a website, www.marryindhuja.com, and proceeded to write a VERY honest description of herself. “I'm not a drinker and I hate smoking. An eggitarian, not a foodie. I play badminton, sing and dance. I wear glasses and look dorky in them. "Not a spendthrift or a shopaholic. Detest masala & drama, not a TV fan. I don't read. Friendly but I don't prefer friendship. NOT a womanly woman. "Definitely not marriage material. Won't grow long hair, ever. I come with a life-long guarantee and I commit for life. Indhuja said she would like to meet a 'bearded' man who wants to travel and can hold a conversation for at least 30 minutes. Speaking to The Telegraph, she said: “I don’t do women’s things like go to the salon, polish my nails or wear womanly clothes. I like motorbikes, I want to do a 5,000 kilometre road trip. "Even if I get married I wouldn’t want to settle down, we would just travel, I would want us to be wanderers and backpackers". The marriage CV has gone viral and has reignited the debate on paternally organised marriages which are commonplace in India.
