Fitness guru Kayla Itsines has received backlash from fans who claim there are major problems with her app.
A number of people have taken to social media to say that after signing up for a free trial ‘Sweat with Kayla’, they were unknowingly charged after the trial finished.
To avail of the free trial, users are first required to put in their credit card information and if they don’t cancel before the end of the seven days, they’re charged $19.99 a month.
Disgruntled Kayla fans said they had contacted the app’s customer service helpline to no avail and now, people are using Instagram to try and get help.
According to People, one user wrote: “I’ve sent an email but no reply so far. I was really loving the app but now I am a frustrated customer”.
Another wrote: “I‘ve tried getting out of the subscription numerous times however your explanation on how to get out of it isn’t very clear”.
“I’ve since been charged twice after deleting the app. Such a shame to see your business model fail just so you can get the most money”.
