We do love it!

Ireland is full of so many wonderful things to see and do.

We have historical landmarks that have stood the test of time, beaches that envy the rest of the world, and of course, we have a few fine pubs among us too.

However, when it comes to the things that Irish people like to do in Ireland, there is one popular choice.

We absolutely love a good walk.

And it seems as though the proof is in the pudding, because a walk has officially been named as Ireland’s favourite local attraction.

Yep, the Bray and Greystones walk in Co Wicklow has been named Ireland’s Favourite Local Attraction by the Independent Reader Travel Awards 2020.

One of the readers said:

“Most walks tire you, but this one energises you.”

And having done the walk a number of times, I can completely agree.

And if you haven’t walked it, here’s what the Wicklow tourism website has to say.

“One of the highlights of walking in Wicklow. This linear walk takes you from Bray to Greystones along the stunning coastal path.”

“The path is well maintained and you can return by light rail (DART) to the start point. Greystones has plenty to offer the hungry walker after beautiful views and a range of marine wildlife.”

“From Bray start, there is a path leading to the top of Bray Head offering stunning views of the Irish Sea, The Wicklow Mountains and Bray.”

Fab, right? We’re defo doing it this weekend.
