Irish actress Orla Brady is playing a sorcerer in Sky One’s new drama Sinbad which is due to air later this week.
The Wicklow-born actress is said to be relishing the character. In an interview for TV Now magazine she said ‘I just had fun imagining being a creature with no consideration other than the quest for power,’ as reported by the Irish Daily Mirror.
And it’s not the first time Orla has turned her hand to an interesting female character. She played a hunger striker in Silent Grace, a homicide detective in Out of the Blue and a Mistress in, funnily enough, Mistresses.
Sinbad is showing on Sky One at seven o’clock on Sunday evening and also stars former Lost star Naveen Andrews.
