Well, this spiralled well and truly out of control.
What presumably started as an innocent joke has turned out to be a huge hit on the internet. A dad from Dublin created a joke invite to his daughter’s christening.
Choosing a rather unflattering picture of little Saoirse he created a Facebook invite which read, “The Exorcism of Saoirse Anne”.
For the invite he added, “Come join us as a man in a sheet throws a bitta water over Saoirse and expels the demon that inhabit her soul. Food and cake (and a few cans) back in the gaf in Kilnamanagh after.”
His cousin spotted that the group invite was then changed to a completely normal invite reading, “Saoirse’s Christening” and how it would be “a very real serious and real ceremony”.
His cousin, Ste, who shared both versions online reckons that the dad’s partner or mother gave out to him.
A lot of people have seen the funny side with the likes of Dara O’Briain, Aisling Bea and other interacting with the post.
