It was James Chambers, of Shamrock Rovers, who came up with the idea but everybody, including the Professional Footballer’s Association of Ireland (PFAI), is getting behind it.
If you are looking for a stocking filler for a friend (don’t lie, it’s totally for yourself) or simply want to help the cause you can pick up the calendar tomorrow.
Sponsored by Ford, it’s on sale for €9.99 and is available from HMV, Drogheda United club shop, Shamrock Rovers club shop and the PFAI offices in Abbotstown. The Irish Cancer Society will receive a share of the proceeds raised.
