Irish Men and Sales Shopping Summed in One Picture

Does this look familiar?

Rebecca McKnight

“Hold my bags love, I’ll be out in a minute.”

Across the country the empty tins of Roses are being repurposed as sewing kits, we’re all looking up gym memberships and there’s a daily stampede to shopping centres to spend Christmas vouchers and snap up the best of the sales bargains.

For some, though, sales shopping is a labour of love, a way to show dedication to your other half even when you’d probably rather be anywhere else in the world.

Kudos to Her.ie reader Aine O’Reilly, who gave us a giggle with a snap from outside Penneys in Dundrum Town Centre this week, capturing the mood of the season perfectly.

One word for these lads: keepers.
