A hero’s welcome awaited Katie Taylor as she landed in Dublin airport on Tuesday evening with a fifth consecutive World Championship title in tow.
The Bray Boxer scooped gold in Jeju, Korea on Monday morning with an incredible win over Azerbaijan’s Yana Allekseevna and was greeted by hundreds of fans in Dublin airport.
Katie had the whole country on tenterhooks over the last week as she boxed for gold in Korea and people across the country were up at 6am on Monday morning to see her crowned World Champion once more when she, yet again, did Ireland proud.
