If you’re a commuter or you travel by train on a regular basis, chances are you’ve given Irish Rail some schtick in the past. However, you’re likely to applaud them for the way the dealt with an angry customer on Twitter recently.
A few weeks ago, an upset Irish Rail customer contacted them on Twitter to see why all the northbound DART services were delayed.
Irish Rail immediately got back to the customer and told him that the delays were all down to the fact that there was an injured animal on the line. The train people said that the poor hurt animal had since been removed and that the delays had eased a fair bit.
When the customer followed up wanting to know why on earth an injured animal would cause such a delay, Irish Rail responded with the following:

You have to hand it to them, it’s a pretty funny (and animal-friendly) response. Fair play Irish Rail, fair play.
