YAY for Hamish.
Yesterday, Irish Rail announced that they found a dog on one of its trains. The company continued to post updates all day long, looking for its owner but nobody came forward.
Hamish even appeared on RTÉ News, and was cared for by an Irish Rail employee overnight.
However, it has just been revealed that Hamish’s owner has been located – and his real name has been revealed.
Irish Rail took to Twitter to announce the news this evening, saying that the dog’s real name is Tyson.

Irish Rail also revealed that Hamish (Tyson) began trending on Twitter too, which is one mighty accomplishment for a little dog.

We can’t wait for the pupper to be reunited with its owner, but we think he will always be called Hamish to us.
