An Irish woman who is based in the US has made history today by becoming the longest-living Irish person ever.
According to reports, Kathleen Hayes Rollins Snavely broke the record of 113 years and 37 days last night which had been held by Annie Scott of Dungannon, Co. Tyrone.
Originally from Co. Clare, Kathleen was born on February 16th, 1902 and immigrated to the US in 1921.
According to Irish Central, a number of members of a group dedicated to centenarians online – the 110 club – have been doing extensive research on Kathleen and her family for the last number of months to trace her roots.
