Coming in the wake of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, today is officially Giving Tuesday where people across Ireland are being encouraged to give something back.
The day is also giving charities an opportunity to thank their supporters, with Twitter users using #GivingTuesdayIreland for the day.
Giving Tuesday has become a worldwide movement over the last number of years, falling on the first Tuesday of December each year just ahead of the Christmas shopping mayhem.
People are being asked to donate, volunteer and/or promote their chosen charity online. The event has been launched by Mycharity.ie and Blackbaud along with Fundraising Ireland and The Wheel.
Donate your Time, Money or Voice to help a good cause #GivingTuesdayIreland givingtuesday.ie
