It’s going to be a Paddy’s Day like no other…
Thousands of people are expected to pack the main streets of Ireland for today’s St Patrick’s Day festivities, with more than half a million people expected to attend the Dublin event, BreakingNews.ie reports.
And if you’ve always dreamed of being in a parade you’re in luck.
To mark The Gathering, the public has been asked to take part in the first ever People’s Parade.
Organisers have invited 8,000 people from all over the world to march in the procession, which will be held before the Dublin parade.

The Gathering have turned world-famous buildings green for the festival!
It’s also a first for the LGBT community as volunteers from Dublin Pride and BeLongTo will represent the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in the main parade, the first time such a large group has taken part in the event.
