A 103-year-old woman from Wisconsin has proved that it's definitely 'better late than never', receiving her high school diploma 87 years after she should have graduated.
Marie Hunt was forced to drop out of school as she was unable to commute and instead spent her teenage years taking care of her brothers and sisters.
According to The Telegraph, Hunt had always regretted not gaining her diploma and decided to pursue her goal while living in an assisted living home.
The determined lady has now graduated from River Valley High School, 87 years after she was due to receive her diploma in 1928.
"It was something I always wanted and I didn't have the opportunity to go. Now [almost] 100 years later, here I am!" she said.
