JK Rowling uses her Twitter account for all sorts of good reasons, like supporting worthy causes, updating Harry Potter fans on unknown trivia and most recently after coming to the defense of British Olympian Tom Daley.
Tom is currently in Rio where he is competing in the 2016 Olympic Games. After he failed to qualify for the 10m final in the diving, a Christian group sent a horrible homophobic tweet about him.

After seeing this JK Rowling wasn’t able to bite her tongue and tweeted a response which well and truly put them in their place.

The Christian group are based in the UK and continue to tweet inappropriate comments about some of the athletes taking part in this year’s Olympics.
