Jojo Moyes’ Me Before You has a special place in the heart of the Her team so we’ve been eagerly awaiting news of the movie adaptation.
Of course, these things can go very very badly (The Time Travellers Wife anyone?) but Deadline‘s confirmation that the movie will be written by Moyes with (500) Days of Summer‘s Scott Neustadter and Michael H Weber has made us even more excited.
The book tells the story of a waitress named Lou who helps wheelchair bound Will rebuild his life after a motorbike accident and it has now been revealed that Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke and The Hunger Games actor Sam Claflin are in negotiations to take on the leading roles in the movie.
The movie will be directed by Thea Sharrock and is slated for release in August 2015.
