Well this is awkward.
Nobody likes being the first person to the party. But making it public knowledge to more than 15,000 people probably wasn’t the best way to let it slide.
Irish cinema fans have long been counting down the days to this year’s Oscar awards, and to mark the momentous occasion, one group that popped up on Facebook was a public call-out to celebrate at the Spire.
‘If Leo wins the Oscar, everyone meet at the Spire’ has more than 15,000 interested attendees planning to celebrate the actor’s achievement tonight, while more than 8,000 confirmed their attendance over the past few weeks.
What one member didn’t spot was the change of celebrations from 6am to 6pm…
Spotted by our brothers over at JOE.ie, Ian Colton was pretty enthusiastic in his plans to tear up the capital in celebration… but his plans fell short:
It’s ok Ian, we’ll see you there tonight, ok?
