Liz is 20 years old but her life hasn’t turned out how she imagined because she decided to read a text while driving and subsequently crashed her car.
That decision has changed her life forever and now she has paired up with the US Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to warn teenagers about the dangers of texting while driving.
In the video, which has gone viral with over two and a half million views, she explains how she now needs medication to go to sleep and has no friends. Her mother, who sent the text, also tells of her heartbreak for her daughter.
