Katie Taylor stamped her mark on the European Games in Baku at the weekend with a hugely impressive win over Bulgarian Denitsa Eliseeva.

Despite there being some doubts surrounding her fitness ahead of the bout, Katie left fans in no doubt of her talent with an extremely impressive performance.

Katie won the bout in Baku.

Taylor went face-to-face with her old rival, who is also the last boxer to have defeated the Irish star back in 2011, and laid a firm marker for exciting times to come.

Taking the opening two rounds on 30-27, Katie continued to hold her own in the final two rounds to secure a unanimous 3-0 decision from the judges.
