Saturday was a big day for athlete Kelly Proper who scooped gold in the long-jump and also bagged her 17th national indoor title at the Glo Health National Indoor Championships.
On the day, the talented athlete jumped 6.22 metres to secure gold.
She has now become Ireland’s most decorated national indoor title holder.
“I love this event,” she said afterwards. “I got my first national indoor title in the long jump, so picking up this title means a lot to me.”
Today (Sunday) she hope to add more medals to her collection when she competes for the 60m and 200m title.
