Irish reality TV talent show The Voice is in for a massive shake-up, as TV bosses claim they don't want the live shows to get monotonous this year.
Finalists on the show have had their odds of survival slashed as the production team try to make the show less like The X Factor.
Show coach and former Westlife star Kian Egan revealed how the rules of this year's live finals have been changed.
The final battle stage on Sunday left the four show coaches, Jamelia, Bressie, Sharon and Kian, with six singers each.
But now RTÉ bosses have said they want to speed up the live shows by forcing judges to cut their teams by a third in the next two weeks.
Kian told Ryan Tubridy: “We will all have three contestants for the first week, the audience will put one through and it will be down to us to decide who stays.
“That will happen again the following week.
“For the first two weeks we lose a contestant each, people are going to go home very fast.”

The year's Voice of Ireland judges and host, Kathryn Thomas.
Kian promised it will make things more interesting for the viewers.
He said: “Last year it kind of felt like we got into the live show and it was just another live show with the contestant coming out on-stage.
“It was pretty generic and became very similar to all the other shows on TV.
“Now we are going to get to see the real talent really standing up.”
