Kildare girl found the most unusual items in her nana’s mobility walker

What a holy show...

Where would we be without our nanas?

They give us advice, cook for us, and always have unbelievable stories from the olden days to share with us. They’re simply the best.

It’s a real pity that as our grandparents get older, they lose mobility, with some even having to use crutches, mobility walkers or wheelchairs.

As people leave the house, they tend to bring the essentials – keys, wallet, phone, ID and maybe a bottle of water. But one Irish girl was opening the safety compartment of her nana’s walker when she found two of the strangest items imaginable.

Upon opening the secret compartment, Kildare girl Aimee found two religious statues and a bundle of bandage wrap.

The statues look to be one of Jesus Christ in a red robe and the Virgin Mary, dressed in white. How exquisite?

Perhaps Aimee’s nan was afraid she’d fall on the way to Mass? Or get called into the boxing ring last minute?

I still can’t fathom why you’d bring statues upon leaving the house, though.
