Kildare Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) have released a statement this evening announcing that their senior ladies team will be regraded for their 2015 campaign.
A statement from Kildare LGFA reads: "Kildare LGFA wish to announce that their request for the county to play at Intermediate level for 2015 was accepted at a Central Council meeting last night.
"The team is going through transition at the moment and it is hoped this decision will encourage new players to compete for their county at Intermediate and/or Under 21 level. All players over 18 years of age in 2015 and interested in playing for the county are welcome to attend an open training session in Hawkfield, Kildare this Friday (21st November) at 7:30pm."
The news follows the appointment of a new manager for the county and will see a process of rebuilding for the Lily Whites in the coming months.
