The county has its pajamas ready, its sweeties prepared and the remote in hand for tonight’s Late Late Toy Show which Ryan Tubridy promises will be a cracker.
The presenter revealed that Irish people need a dose of Christmas cheer more than ever this year and speaking to The Irish Independent he said: "The country is grim, unhappy and sad and we are the rainbow.”
"We provide an opportunity for people who are in trouble to forget about it for two or three hours.
"That suits me because I enjoy being that rainbow, that splash of colour."
The Late Late Show stage will tonight transform into a Fairytale wonderland, mimicking that of the film Shrek. Viewers will be delighted to feast their eyes on X Factor’s recently evicted Union J and Tubridy has promised to emerge from behind the curtain in yet another hideous Christmas jumper.
This year the host has described the attire as "a sartorial weapon of mass destruction.”

Tonight's Toy Show is going for a fairytale theme!
Watching the Toy Show is an annual tradition for many Irish families and the programme last year attracted 1,414,000 viewers.
It was the most watched programme on RTÉ since the 1994 World Cup.
"I think the numbers will be down because they were so high last time," said Tubridy. "We can't top last year's figures, but we still expect a huge number of people to tune in."
As we have previously reported, this Christmas is all about the revamps and old favourites like Furby and Cabbage Patch Kids are set to make a return to the Toy Show stage tonight.
More children than ever will take part in tonights show with more than 200 performers.
However, Tubridy revealed that tickets to the Toy Show are all gone, comparing them to a certain golden ticket.
"There are only 200 real ones and they're all gone," said Tubridy.
"They're like the golden tickets in Willy Wonka."
Way to dash our dreams, Ryan!
Tonight is definitely a night for some couch appreciation, a roaring fire and a mug of cocoa!
