#LikeAGirl – Watch The Moving Video Inspiring Young Girls To Be Unstoppable.

"Girls can't be brave" and "girls aren't strong" are limiting phrases from an apparently bygone era.  However, a recent survey conducted by Always has revealed that many girls today still feel limited by society's expectations of women.

In fact, the survey found that 66 per cent of girls in the UK feel held back by society and 88 per cent feel there is pressure for girls to conform to the way a girl is supposed to feel and act. Fifty-nine per cent of girls and women surveyed felt they lost their confidence at puberty. The London Confidence Summit was hosted by Women's Editor of The Telegraph, Emma Barnett.  The "Always Unstoppable #LikeAGirl" video marks the next phase of the #LikeAGirl campaign - the creation of the Always Global Confidence Teaching Curriculum. The confidence curriculum will be added to Always' existing Puberty Education Programme, building on 30 years of experience of puberty education in schools across Ireland and the UK. The brand have teamed up with TED, the organisation devoted to spreading ideas, to develop and spread confidence-inspiring content through TED-Ed. Ambassador of the campaign, 18-year-old Maisie Williams (who plays Arya Stark on the hit HBO series Game of Thrones) spoke at the New York Confidence Summit this week. Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams has joined Always to spread the word.  In her keynote address, she said: I believe it's important for young girls to feel supported and motivated to pursue their passions. I applaud the work that Always is doing and am proud to join them in empowering girls to be confident and unstoppable #LikeAGirl."
