Maisie Gregory met the Queen during her recent visit to Wales but only moments later was accidentally slapped by a saluting soldier.
The six-year-old gave the Queen a bunch of flowers but when the solder standing near her saluted, he accidentally hit her in the face.
Her father, Regimental Sergeant Major Martin Gregory told the BBC that his daughter soon forgot about the whole thing.
He said: “I let her wear my hat and carry my sword. She was soon cheerful and she’s running around now.”
