This is how long it takes to decide if you want to go on a second date with someone

Dating can be a struggle.

I mean, it’s great and everything but of course you will come across a few frogs before you find your prince or princess.

When it comes to first dates, it can be super scary. Will you get on? Will they be funny? Will you be funny? What will you do? Where will you go?

There’s so many questions.

Dating app Inner Circle in the UK surveyed 1,006 active daters to find out exactly how long it takes someone to decide if they want a second date… and it’s longer than you might think.

They found, on average, it takes 42 minutes and 29 seconds.

It kind of means that people aren’t basing their decision on looks and want to actually get to know someone before deciding if they want to see them again.

However, 19 percent admitted that they made their mind up about a person in under ten minutes.

When it comes to the world of dating these days, a lot of it is online. And we may get to know them through texting, however, the found of the app said that’s a bad idea.

David Vermeulen told Bustle: “There’s really no point in chatting online for days and weeks on end. You could meet in person and realise you’ve wasted all that time because the chemistry just isn’t there.

“Getting out there and having real-life experiences is the best way to suss out your potential partner and have fun at the same time.”
