Welcome to The Bride Files – covering all things related to weddings as Laura prepares for her big day.

These days a lot of couples are opting to go on mini-moons. A short break away directly after the wedding but not the official honeymoon.

One the most exciting parts of a wedding is the honeymoon. However, they can be very pricey and don’t always suit straight after the big day, so this is where a mini-moon comes in. You get to relax with your new spouse and enjoy the first few days as a married couple.

We’re very fortunate that Ireland has some incredible hotels that are perfect for mini-moons. Whether you want a city break, a spa getaway or just a stunning hotel we’ve got it all.

Here are just some of the gorgeous hotels that are perfect for mini-moons.

Muckross Park Hotel, Killarney

Muckross Park Hotel is nestled in the heart of the stunning Killarney National Park. If you want to totally unwind and enjoy a few days of bliss then you can’t go wrong with this hotel.

The spa is incredible, with a wide range of treatments. You have use of the thermal area with a large vitality pool, herbal sauna, steam room, tropical rain shower area and outdoor hot tub.

The rooms in the hotel are incredible, as is the food and the service.

The Shelbourne, Dublin

The Shelbourne Hotel is the perfect treat for your mini-moon. It’s one of the most iconic hotels in Dublin. It has the Princess Grace Package which is perfect for newlyweds, as it allows you to feel like Hollywood royalty.

The stunning hotel, in the centre of Dublin City, celebrates Grace Kelly’s stay in their hotel and offers the chance for newlyweds to stay in the room she once stayed in. It’s the hotel’s elite presidential suite, a luxurious suite with two bedrooms, and the best room available at this iconic five-star hotel.

With Champagne on arrival, unpacking and packing of luggage, butler service, lavish breakfast, complimentary return Dublin Airport transfers, and complimentary newspapers, valet parking, internet access and daily amenities you’ll live like royalty.

The g Hotel, Galway

The g Hotel & Spa is an ideal choice for a romantic mini-moon. It’s a short stroll from Galway City and has 101 gorgeous bedrooms that were designed by Philip Treacy.

The Junior Suites are ideal for couples on their mini-moon as they offer beautiful views of Lough Atalia and the city skyline. The extra large bathrooms feature double showers and standalone Villeroy & Boch bathtubs.

The spa has a wide range of treatments to rejuvenate your mind and body after the busy run up to your wedding.

It also offers Afternoon Tea in the Signature Lounges and you can enhance your stay with extra special touches such as rose petal turndown or champagne and strawberries in your room on arrival.
