This has been building for a while now.
An Instagram account which targets bloggers has been calling out Joanne Larby since the beginning of the year.
Various social media posts have been going up about the blogger, calling her out on issues such as photoshopping pictures and leading her followers astray.
The Make Up Fairy Pro has been mostly quiet about the matter until now, as this afternoon she has made a formal statement on Instagram, saying her legal team and the Gardaí have gotten involved.
Taking to social media, Joanne wrote: “I want to apologise for not being able to respond to all of you over the last few weeks. It’s been a really difficult and distressing time.
“I was advised not to talk about all of this online until due process had taken place in the background. I have consulted with legal and the Guards (sic) and this matter is now with them.
She finished by saying: “Thank you to all those loyal followers who have stood by me during one of the most vile periods of my career. To my friends and family who continue to keep me strong.”
