A very happy ending...

A very happy ending…

Those who get organ transplants with forever be grateful to their donors, they’ll naturally be very fond of the person who did the good deed but this story goes beyond that.

An American woman was suddenly diagnosed with stage four liver disease in 2014. The doctors told Heather Krueger that she needed a donor or she would not survive. She was told that she had less than a 50% chance of living past two months. Her chances were looking very slim.

Chris Demsey was at work when he heard a co-worker talk about Heather’s situation and how badly she needed a donor.

“When I heard about it, I just thought I would want someone to help me,” He told ABC News.

He then went through several tests to see if he was a match, and thankfully he was.

Chris then called Heather telling her he could donate his kidney as he was a match.

The two stranger then underwent 8 intense hours of surgery in which surgeons removed 55% of Chris’s liver. During the recovery process which took about two months, the pair became very close.

“If wasn’t for this person, I wouldn’t have made it to Christmas,” Heather said. “He was a selfless and brave person who was perfectly healthy and didn’t know me before this.”

”You’re the most incredible man I’ve ever known. You believe in me and make me feel amazing every single day” She said in her wedding vows.
