A 42-year-old man in the UK had to undergo surgery when he fractured the outer tissue of his penis during sex.
According to the New England Journal of Medicine, the man heard his manhood ‘snap’ when he hit the woman’s perineum (the area between her vagina and anus).
Following the incident he went to the hospital where he was taken into the operating theatre for emergency repair.
The article states that the patient was later discharged and eventually regained erectile function “without appreciable plaque formation or penile curvature.”
