That’s what friends are for.
Still reeling from the death of army captain David Seath in yesterday’s London Marathon, his friends have decided to complete the race in his honour.
The 31-year-old, who served in Afghanistan, suffered a cardiac arrest near the 23-mile mark close to Southwark Bridge on Sunday. He later passed away in St Thomas’ Hospital.

Seath had been raising money for Help For Heroes, and had collected over £6,000 by the time of the Marathon.
Now, one of his pals, James Walker-McClimens, has announced that a group of Seath’s friends and colleagues will complete the final three miles of the Marathon.
He writes:
“Today we heard the tragic news that our friend Dave Seath passed away whilst taking part in the 2016 Virgin London Marathon. He was three miles short of the finish line and collapsed on Upper Thames Street. His friends and colleagues are planning to complete what he started, in his honour. We will walk as one, the final three miles of the marathon, starting where he fell. We’re raising money for Help for Heroes, a cause he ran and died for. He was our friend and hero.
