Melania Trump reveals White House Christmas lights and people are, unsurprisingly, unimpressed
Hardly surprising, tbh.
Melania Trump has revealed the White House's Christmas decorations for 2019 - and in a not so shocking twist of events, people hate them.
Well, it's more probable that people actually hate the Trumps, everything they stand for, and the fact that they are, indeed, still in power.
And if that hatred manifests itself into an instant dislike of some fairy lights, then so be it.
"'The Spirit of America' is shining in the White House!," wrote Melania on Twitter today.
"I am delighted to share this beautiful exhibit of patriotism for all to see, and excited for everyone to experience the beauty of the Christmas season!"

Just gonna put it out there, lads - these decorations are pretty good.
They just are.
There's this massive fuck-off tree.
This fireplace situation.
This other tree.
And all these trees.
See? Pretty good.
What's not good, however, is the Trump administration, so it's hardly surprising that people are ripping into Melania and her display of what she has deemed patriotic.
Light bulbs, lying, xenophobia, racism, sexism, bullying, abusing the public's money for personal gain, destroying thousands of children's lives at the border by taking away their parents... none of that is patriotic.

How much taxpayer money is spent on these videos? Seriously, as someone who understands the cost of the production of these (lights, cameras, crew, editing)... and wondering the necessity of them... what is it costing the #AmericanTaxpayerWaste

Will you be decorating the kids’ cages too? Or no, wait. They’re already too cramped, right? Bummer.

All fair assertions, yep.
Anyway, the US Presidential election takes place next November.
Mark your calendars, etc.
