Talk about getting in the zone.
You’d think Michael Phelps would draw attention for his incredible athletic ability, but instead it’s because of a face he pulled.
He was gearing up for the 200-meter butterfly semifinals in Rio when he was caught on camera giving one hell of a death stare. To make matters even funnier it looks like his dirty look is directed at his fellow contestant.
Phelps was slumped in a chair with his hood up and headphones on, a ritual he has been seen doing before important races. In front of him is his opponent, South Africa’s Chad Le Clos, who can be seen doing his own pre-race warm up which consisted of boxing and jumping around. Interestingly, it was Le Clos who beat Phelps in this exact event at the 2012 Olympics.

While Phelps was just getting in the zone before the race it looks like he is furious with Le Clos. As you can imagine the internet has reacted spectacularly and are ripping the absolute piss out of him.
The hashtag #PhelpsFace has been trending and spawned a whole host of funny memes and comments.
