After years of singing about milkshakes and jerk ribs it looks like Kelis’ taste buds will finally be put to the test in her very own cooking show.
Saucy and Sweet will see the singer in a new series highlighting her own dishes and recipes. The show has been described as giving an “inside look at how she composes food with attitude”.
As well as venturing into the TV business, the singer is currently writing a cookbook with Lauren Pesavento and unbeknownst to many, she also trained part-time as a chef and graduated from the famous Le Cordon Bleu culinary school.
Kelis debuted her signature sauce range, Feast at the Las Vegas Food and Wine Festival last October.
The new TV show will be premiering next Wednesday, February 26th on the Cooking Channel. Kelis’ album, aptly titled Food, is out this April.
