Six-year-old Venus was found as a stray on a dairy farm in North Carolina in 2009.
She was quickly adopted into a family of two “feline siblings” and two “canine siblings”.
Her strange two-toned face and two coloured eyes often lead cynical followers (and our Grace O’Reilly) to insist he’s photoshopped. Her face is almost perfectly halved by the striking change in fur pattern and colour.
Owners Christina and Chris toldThe Independent UK “her unusual colouring is due to Venus being a "chimera" cat, which is where the colorations of Venus' parents would have developed separately before merging together on her body to give Venus her signature two-sided face colouration and tortoiseshell-style body colouring”.
Venus has become a bit of a viral superstar with her own Facebook, Instagram and YouTube accounts.
