"My Miley couldn’t leave me on this earth alone so he blessed me with our very own miracle baby."
An Irish woman who tragically lost her partner on the day they were due to be married has discovered that she is pregnant one month following the loss.
Kate Quilligan's fiancé Myles Harty sadly passed away after his car crashed into a pole in the early hours of their wedding day.
While the death of Myles was a devastating blow, Kate has said that she now feels "blessed" to learn that she is carrying her partner's child a month later.
Taking to social media, the 20-year-old Limerick woman wrote: "My Miley couldn’t leave me on this earth alone so he blessed me with our very own miracle baby.
"I cannot wait to get my baby in my hands. You only ever gave me the best and you’re still blessing me with the best."

Ms Quilligan continued: "I promise baby I’ll do you proud and do the best I possibly can. Love you and our miracle baby on the way. I’m always going to have a piece of you now my Miley. Love you and our prince or princess on the way."
Later, Kate described Myles as "one proud man in heaven". She shared a photo of two babygrows on social media and in the caption wrote: "handpicked for earth by my daddy in heaven."
In another touching post, which marked the one-month anniversary of Mr Harty's death, Kate shared the pain of her broken heart, and wrote about how she still hasn't come to terms with the fact that he's not coming home.
She said: "What I wouldn't give to spend one last day with you."
Recently, Myles friends and family celebrated his life by climbing Croagh Patrick in Co. Mayo.
