Molly and her wheelbarrow is just one of the many famous statues dotted around the capital that are due to be relocated in the next few months.
The move is to make way for road works, as the construction for the new luas connection line gets underway.
Ireland’s infamous fishmonger won’t be trading her cockles and mussels too far away, as the statue will be taken from the bottom of Grafton Street and placed nearby at the Fáilte Ireland tourism offices on St. Andrew’s Street.
Other statues that aren’t as fortunate as our dear Molly will housed in storage until the major construction work is over.

The Lady Grattan fountain on St Stephen's Green will be the first statue to go into storage.
Railway Procurement Agency (RPA) spokeswoman said the reason Molly will continue wheeling her wheelbarrow is due to the fact she is a major tourist attraction.
"Molly Malone is moving because she's such a big tourist attraction. The plan is she'll be returned as close to her original position as possible."
Widespread disruption is expected for the duration of the €370 million cross-city link build, and the new connection is expected to be operational from 2017.
