Chewy the Golden Retriever would usually jump at the chance of playing fetch but last month he couldn’t bring himself to take a step never mind collect a ball.
His owner had just taken him to the vet but unfortunately the general anaesthetic hadn’t worn off by the time he got home which meant he was somewhat sluggish.
“This is how you know a Golden Retriever is high,” the guy says in the video before throwing a tennis ball in the dog’s direction.
The clip has been on YouTube since the beginning of April but it’s only now that Chewy (who we just want to hug) has become an internet hit.
