But that shouldn't be the case when there are so many wonderful boy names out there.
Some of our favourite baby boy names made it to the top of the CSO's 2023 baby name report and we're not one bit surprised to see these monikers grow in popularity.

According to the CSO, there are three baby names proving incredibly popular with parents of baby boys in Dublin.

The top three names for boys in Dublin in 2023 were Jack, James, and Noah.
The meaning behind these beautiful names are one of the reasons they're so beloved.
The name Jack is of English origin and means 'God is gracious'.
The name James is of Hebrew origin. The charming moniker means 'gift from God.'
This beautiful name is also of Hebrew origin. It means both 'rest' and 'motion'.
