Movie Night In? Eight Girly Guilty Pleasures You Love to Curl Up To On The Couch

They may not be Oscar material, but there's a special place in our hearts devoted to a girly guilty pleasure movie night. From true friendships, cheesy romances and dodgy chat-up lines, life doesn't get much better than curling up on the couch with a cup of tea while rooting for your favourite girl. Throw in some music, witty one-liners or a life lesson along the way, and we're sold. We want to meet the girl who doesn't love at least one of these films. (Trust us, she doesn't exist): Grease - She's the only girl who can pull off a perm and we want to be in her gang. The pink ladies know how to party and we've always kept a soft spot for the true love tales of Danny and Sandy. She's also got no problem putting him in his place. Why can't be hopelessly devoted to us? For now, we'll just have to settle for a sing-along en masse. Dirty Dancing - No-one puts baby in the corner, and for good reason too. She carried a water-melon and he taught her how to dance in the sweaty heat of an American summer resort. We WILL perfect the dance lift... even if it does involve bottles of wine and an unwilling flatmate. A Walk to Remember: He was the bad-boy high school heart-throb. She wore clothes that makes your granny's style as cutting edge as Kate Moss. Landon and Jamie were the American high school polar opposites - which was obviously going to make an amazing cheesy romance story. Cue the angsty friendship, Landon defending Jamie's honour, and then the tragic ending that made us want to marry Shane West. Do not watch this without a tub of ice-cream. Or a box of tissues. HEART. MELTED. Twilight: She may be a trampire in real life, but there's something about this Bella Swan/ Edward Cullen saga that gets us every time. Maybe it's because she's awkward and the new kid, or because he's got the tall, brooding, beautiful boy act down solid, but there's something sweet about this pairing that keeps us coming back. Don't even get us started on the Bella - Jacob - Edward love triangle, we don't think our hearts can take much more. We still don't know if we were Team Edward or Team Jacob, but this film is made for sitting with the girls and debating each man's merits. Bring it On: There's very little that can't be solved in life with a bit of spirit fingers (Ok, we lie, but they're REALLY fun to do). We were obsessed from the minute Big Red passed the torch to Torrance. From  'inspiration-leaders' to catchy rhymes, we're not going to judge you for dancing along on the couch. Pitch Perfect: How does this make the guilty pleasure list? Maybe because it’s aca-awesome? Yes, it's a little cheesy, and we saw the love interest developing in the first five minutes, but Fat Amy, the singing mash-ups and the cup-song are the saving graces for this favourite chick flick. It's official, no girl's collection is complete without it. The Notebook: Noah and Ali will forever live on as the greatest love story of our lives. He built her a dream house and wrote her 365 letters, one every day for a year. We think it's romantic when the other half lets us take control of the remote. All we can say is, this film has a lot to answer for our crazy expectations on boyfriends. And we wouldn't change it for a minute. Guilty pleasure? Definitely, but totally excusable.
