A thoughtful gesture.

Danny O’Carroll, of Mrs Browns Boys, is planning a fundraiser to help the family of the Buncrana victims.

The Donegal man had been organising an event in support of Pieta House but after hearing about the tragedy in Buncrana, he put plans in place for a second fundraiser.

On March 20th, Louise James lost her partner Sean McGrotty, her sons Evan and Mark, her mother Ruth Daniels and her sister Jodie-Lee, when their car slipped off Buncrana Pier into Lough Swilly.

Like so many others around the country, Danny was horrified by the tragedy and wants to try and help Louise and her baby daughter Ríognanch-Ann in any way possible.

According to The Irish Mirror, two events, a golf classic and a gala dinner will be held on May 27th.

Speaking to the publication, Danny said: “It was just such a tragic accident. I know money will be of little comfort to Louise right now but if I can help raise some money for her and her daughter then that’s what I want to do”.
