Marni Kinrys, a U.S. dating coach, says holding in urine for five seconds at a time strengthens the Kegel, or pelvic, muscles.
For most women, we know only too well the importance of flexing, holding and owning these muscles. Kegel muscles help with bladder function and ejaculation, but become weaker or stretched as men and women age.
So how can men improve on their sex life?
Marni argues that men who like to work on their muscles, shouldn’t neglect their pelvic form, and holding in their pee for five seconds at a time could be just the trick to a happier sex life.
Explaining the exercise, Marni says:
“Kegel exercises are something you can do everywhere, at every moment in your life. Driving in a car, in your office, sitting at the doctors.
“They control your pubococcygeus (PC) muscles so you can control ejaculation and prolong ejaculation. You want to work your way up to 50 reps a day, a rep being clenching your PC muscles for three to five seconds, and then releasing.
“You start off by doing 1 to 20 reps then work up to doing 50 reps. Then you want to increase the time from five to seven seconds. Keep increasing from there.
“This will help strengthen your PC muscles so you never have to worry about premature ejaculation again.”
So ladies, if you need to have a gentle word but don’t know how to broach the subject, maybe take a little longer in the bathroom in the morning.
If anything holding on once in a while is better for him (and you too…)
