While Love/Hate may have swept the board at the IFTAs last night (King Nidge and co. won a whopping six awards) there was still plenty of other gossip from the star-studded event.
The Sunday Mirror reports that Irish film What Richard Did dominated the film categories. It much-loved flick took home the two big awards for Best Film and Best Script.
In terms of acting, up-and-coming star Jack Reynor beat Colin Farrell to take home the Best Actor award. The Hollywood star also shocked the journalists on the red carpet when he introduced the lovely Madeline Mulqueen (the lady who starred as the bridesmaid in the Rubberbandits ‘Horse Outside’ music video) as his new girlfriend.
Daniel Day-Lewis brought home the award for Best International Actor for his role in Lincoln while Ben Affleck’s film Argo took the Best International Film award.

The IFTAs took place at Dublin's Convention Centre last night
All eyes were on Amy Huberman last night who proudly showed off her baby bump on the red carpet. Hubes, who previously said she’d be mortified if she went into labour at the IFTAs, insisted that her hubby Brian O’Driscoll and the rest of the Irish lads would beat England in the Six Nations clash later today.
She also revealed that even if she went into labour today, nothing would keep Brian from the pitch.
“Brian and I are very excited but for the moment he’s just concentrating on the game – that’s where is mind is right now,” said Amy.
“If I was to go into labour tomorrow – it wouldn’t come straight on. So there wouldn’t be a problem with him missing the match,” she added.
Other winners on the night included Chris O’Dowd’s hilarious show Moone Boy which scooped the Best Entertainment award (much to the shock of Brendan O’Carroll) and Gerard Barrett who took home the Rising Star Award.
