Newly Weds Get Off To A Bad Start, Groom Forgets Bride At Petrol Station

Almost every woman has at one point in her life been stood up by a member of the opposite sex. He may have forgotten your birthday, an anniversary, Valentines, or simply didn’t text you back.

However there is one time where you’d expect your man not to forget you, your Honeymoon.

A marriage between a German couple didn’t get off to the greatest of starts, when the groom left his bride at a petrol station en route home from their honeymoon.

Wait for it... the man didn’t notice that he had left his wife behind for several hours.

Inquirer News reports that Police said the couple were heading back home to Berlin from France, when the man pulled over near the central town of Bad Hersfeld, late on Thursday evening to fill up their vehicle.

Unbeknownst to her new husband, the woman, who had been sleeping in the back of the van, got out to use the toilets. Unfortunately the newlyweds had a communication issue and the man had left the station before his wife had made it back.

It was only after almost three hours on did he notice she was missing and called the police, who said that she had patiently waiting on him to return.
