Nicola McEvoy was crowned the 2012 Rose of Tralee on Tuesday night.
The beauty, who represented Luxembourg in the competition, was crowned by former Rose of Tralee Tara Talbot after she was announced as the winner by Kerry man Daithi O’Se.
The 25-year-old teacher cried tears of joy when her name was announced and said she did not expect to win the contest.

“Thank you so much to all the wonderful friends that I’ve made over the past few days," she said.
Nicola who is originally from Cork, stunned the judges when she sang French classic 'La Vie en Rose.'
Along with the gorgeous Phillip Treacy tiara, Nicola also scooped a sash, jewellery, cutlery embossed with her family crest, a €25,000 tour of the world and an adventure break in Kerry.
